Presenters

We look forward to your research presentation at the AERI Symposium held at The Pennsylvania State University.

The full AERI symposium schedule is above. Please indicate on the form linked here any corrections needed on the schedule. Each session will include three paper presentations, each lasting 20 minutes, followed by 15 minutes for a collective response by the discussant and 15 minutes for Q&A with the audience.

To help ensure a smooth and insightful discussion, please reply to the form linked here and upload your 2000-word paper, or presentation with 1000 words by Friday, 5th September. This will allow the discussant ample time to review your work and prepare thoughtful commentary.

There will be graduate student tech support to assist in uploading your presentation. Please arrive 20-minutes prior to your session venue to upload your presentation.

Lastly, as coordinators of the AERI Symposium, please keep us informed if your plans change regarding travel for in-person engagement at the AERI symposium.

Pecha Kucha Poster (PKP) Presentations.

We look forward to your presentation at the AERI Graduate Research Pecha Kucha Poster (PKP) sessions held at The Pennsylvania State University.

As coordinators of the AERI Symposium, please keep us informed if your plans change regarding travel for in-person engagement at the AERI symposium on Saturday, October 4, 2:00- 3:45 PM EST. We have details and schedule linked here.

So that AERI Research Steering Committee members can prepare their facilitation of questions and feedback, and to have all the PKP presentations pre-loaded on computers prior to the session, please upload your poster here by Sept. 5, 2025.

Discussants

As chair and discussant for the session, responsibilities include:

  • Read the papers before the symposium and prepare brief comments

    • Based on this year’s steering committee meeting feedback on discussant expectations, we encourage you to think of a theme that threads across each of the papers, and develop one question for all presenters based on the thematic thread.

  • Introduce the presenters at the start of the session.

  • Oversee the timings of each session. Each of the 3 presenters is allocated 20 minutes.

  • Provide a 5-minute response after the three 20-minute paper presentations.

  • Open the floor for 15 minutes of questions.

  • Conclude session.
